The zFTP Client contains a buffer overflow vulnerability in the NAME parameter handling of FTP connections, allowing local attackers to crash the application or execute arbitrary shellcode.

Vulnerability

This is an out-of-bounds write vulnerability (CWE-787) triggered by supplying an oversized NAME value to the FTP connection handler.
